LinkedIn About — Dean Casey (Rewrite v2)¶
Character count target: ~2,100 of 2,600 limit Hook priority: First 3 lines (~220 chars) must land before LinkedIn's "see more" cutoff Positioning: Broader admin/scattered-data problem, ClientIQ live across three modules (meeting prep, client reporting, voice note taker)
Primary Version¶
Most wealth managers are losing 10+ hours a week each to admin and manual work.
Gathering data from multiple systems — CRM, old statements, handwritten notes, emails. Trying to digest it all before a client meeting. Writing it up after. Pulling together client reports from half a dozen tools.
That's 500+ hours a year spent on admin no client ever thanks you for. It's the invisible bottleneck keeping good advisors stuck and unable to grow.
I've built ClientIQ to fix it.
One platform. Every client detail your firm has ever captured — instantly searchable, automatically synthesised, ready when you need it.
→ Meeting prep in one minute, not two hours → Client reporting auto-generated from your existing data → Voice note taker that captures meetings and feeds everything back into the client record
—
I've spent 25 years in this.
Co-founded Nutcracker Technologies with my father in 2000 and built trading and portfolio management platforms for 50+ wealth managers across Africa — PSG, First National Bank, the JSE, Citadel, and many others.
One client grew from 25 internal professionals to over 500, and from a few thousand retail clients to nearly 100,000 — all anchored on the systems we built. Same pattern every time: strip out the admin weight, let advisors spend more time with clients.
That's still the job. The tools have just changed.
—
After relocating to the UK, I stepped out of Nutcracker SA and started building again. ClientIQ is what I kept seeing hiding in plain sight across every wealth firm I've worked with — advisors drowning in admin while everything they needed was already sitting in their systems, just impossible to pull together.

I've built ClientIQ to fix it. One platform that pulls every client detail your firm has ever captured into one place. Meeting prep in one minute. Client reports auto-generated. A voice note taker that captures meetings and feeds it all back into the client record.

What changed from v1¶
- Problem broadened from meeting prep → all admin and scattered data
- Past tense: "I'm building" → "I've built" (product is live)
- Three modules named: meeting prep, client reporting, voice note taker
- "500 hours" now tied to admin generally, not prep specifically
- Dropped the transcription positioning jab ("while the market fought over who could transcribe meetings best") — now that ClientIQ includes a voice note taker, that line undercuts your own product
- CTA qualifier updated to "losing the week to admin and scattered data"
Positioning note¶
This bio moves beyond the CLAUDE.md Phase 1 rule of "don't mention transcription." That rule made sense when ClientIQ was prep-only and you needed to avoid head-to-head comparison with transcription tools. Now that the voice note taker is built and the product is a suite, leading with the broader problem (admin + scattered data) is the stronger play. It also makes the Nutcracker credibility story land harder — "strip out the admin weight" now describes what ClientIQ actually does, not just a historical pattern.
Recommend: update CLAUDE.md Phase 1 section and the positioning docs to reflect the broader suite framing. I can do this next if you want — but flagging first since it's a substantive strategy change, not just a bio edit.
